The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ) have entered in to a joint venture. Under the new alliance, FICCI will help Indian industries to adopt global best practices in quality. The enhancement of quality will evoke competitiveness among Indian industries which will help them become world class. The joint venture will train domestic manufacturing enterprises regarding the attainment of high quality in their products and services.
 
Large manufacturing sectors like steel and aluminium will reap benefits from the FICCI-ASQ alliance. ASQ is an international entity focusing on quality and organisational excellence. Talking to media about the joint venture, ASQ executive director and chief strategy officer Paul Borawski stated that partnership of ASQ and FICCI will help India to bring a revolution in the field of quality. The joint venture called FICCI-ASQ Foundation for Innovation and Excellence will provide the organisations with ASQ technologies which will help them to aim at operational excellence and revenue growth.
