According to the market sources, the German company FEV would supply the diesel engine for Tata Nano car. FEV is headquartered in Aachen, Germany and is already working with Mahindra & Mahindra on their diesel hybrid engine for Scorpio.

 

Tata has announced to launch the new model of Tata Nano car later this year with a petrol engine. The company has also promised its consumer that diseal engine Nano will indeed be available later on.

 

Tata nano can claim to be the first car to sport an 800 cc, turbo charged, CRDi diesel engine in the entire world. The fuel injection system for this engine would be developed by Bosch.
