The chief of Darul-Uloom Hijaziya Chishti of Mumbai has issued the 'fatwa' against Salman Khan and his family for participating on Ganeshotsav. Reacting on the development Salman's father and veteran Bollywood scriptwriter Salim Khan questioned the locus standi of the people who have imposed Fatwa on his family.
The fatwa has been imposed on the Khan family after its members along with friends and relatives celebrated the Ganeshotsav festival at their home in Bandra. Evidently, the family has been celebrating Ganeshotsav every year, but this year owing to live telecast of the entire ritual on the occasion has displeased leaders from Muslim community.
Angered with the latest imposition of Fatwa on Salman, Salim Khan asked that who are these people to question people's religious beliefs? Also, he questioned their honesty towards issuing Fatwa. He asked the Fatwa issuing organization to issue the same against terrorists and terrorism which according to him is un-Islamic. He bashed clerics for being nonsense talkers.
