Scottish actor Ewan Mcgregor best known for his role as Mark Renton in the 1996 film ‘Trainspotting’ has reportedly been signed by pop diva Madonna to star in her latest flick, ’W.E.’.
Ewan Mcgregor will essay the role of late British monarch King Edward VIII in the flick.
The Scottish actor will be sharing the screen space with Oscar-nominated actress Vera Farmiga who will portray the role his screen lover whereas Abbie Cornish will play a modern day character in the period movie.
‘W.E.’ is still in its pre-production stage and release date has not yet been declared.
