The WAM news agency has reported that the national air carrier of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways, has added one more flight to United States, thereby increasing its US operations.
The new flights will carry passengers between the UAE city of Abu Dhabi and the US City, Chicago. The first flight between the two cities was launched on Sep 2, Wednesday. It took 14 hours for the flight to reach its destination at the O’Hare International Airport of Chicago.
The launch of the new service marks the third destination of Etihad in North America after New York and Toronto, taking the total international destinations served by this air carrier to 55.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways' chief executive, said: "We are delighted to start services to Chicago which is our third major destination in North America. Chicago is set to become a key part of our global flight programme with strong traffic expected from cities across our Middle East and Indian sub-continent network."
