The United Arab Emirates-based Etihad Airways will be launching four flights, on a weekly basis, on the Abu Dhabi – Hyderabad route from 2010.
Hyderabad will be the seventh Indian destination for the Etihad Airw, with the other destinations being Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, New Delhi and Mumbai. The air carrier flies 42 services to India in a week.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways' chief executive, said: "We are thrilled to launch flights from Abu Dhabi to Hyderabad and to serve the community of Andhra Pradesh."
"We are delighted to welcome Etihad to Hyderabad. This will provide a wider choice for travellers wishing to fly to the UAE from our airport," CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, Sripathy, said.
