England will take on Netherlands in the opening encounter of World Cup T20 match at Lord’s today at 17:30 hrs local time. This is right after the inaugural ceremony. England performed dismally in the World Cup T20 2007, finishing fifth in the Super 8s table. The onus is on Team England to perform well in front of the home crowd. The team has to bring to good use, the vast experience in domestic T20. Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, James Anderson, and Luke Wright would be the key players for the team.
Netherlands, on the other hand has qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time. The team is inexperienced on an international level. However, Dirk Nannes, who played well for Team Delhi in IPL 2009, could be a force to reckon with.
