Emraan Hashmi started his career with the image of a serial kisser with a gray character and even now he has maintained the same. His last flick was ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, where he played the role of a don and this time it is ‘Crook’, in which there are some dark shades too.

Emraan adds, "I have always played characters with grey shades and I like it. I like a certain realism to the characters I'm playing. In reality too, I always suspect people who claim they have done only good things in their lives.”

"I don't believe people who say they haven't experienced jealousy, greed, because I feel all these emotions are felt by everyone. We all go through a phase where we feel guilty about doing something. I have made mistakes."

The movie also serves as a launch pad for debutante actress Neha Sharma and it is based on the racial attacks on Indians in Australia. ‘Crook’ is slated for October 8 release.

Revealing about his character, he adds, “I play a character that is aggressive but at the same time is endearing and funny. He believes in this weird motto that it's good to be bad because he feels that good guys finish last.”
