Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab has announced its sponsors and partners for the second season. Dubai-based Emirates airline will be the team’s title sponsors. Other eight major brands such as Gulf Oil, Nimbooz, Netlinkblue, Reebok, Springbok Intl, Royal Challenge, Dabur Glucose-D and Orbit have also signed as the sponsor of the Mohali franchise.

 

Orhan Abbas, Vice President India and Neoal for Emirates Airline said that, the partnership with Kings XI Punjab is a multi-million dollar deal over a period of three years. However, he did not want to divulge the exact financial arrangement between the two parties. Meanwhile, the team’s jersey has been conceptualized by the team’s co-owner Preity Zinta and their apparel partner Reebok.

 

Mohit Burman, co-owner of Kings XI Punjab agreed that the economic slowdown along with the IPL moving to South Africa has changed things for the team. Zinta also said that, sponsors wanted to do a lot of activations around the place where matches would be played but were affected because of the changes this year. So they are carrying a lot of merchandise, which they can sell there that would help in marketing the team too.
