The government-appointed new board of Satyam has proposed three names for the post of CEO of the company which will be finalised next week. Apart from it, Satyam will also get a new chief financial officer by the next week. During the two-day meeting of Satyam board which ended yesterday (January 23), the directors also finalised means to raise additional funds for the IT company.

 

The board meeting was headed by Tarun Das, mentor of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Apart from him, all the other government-appointed five directors were also present in the crucial meeting, third in 13 days. The board stated that the fund raising arrangements have been made to ensure smooth functioning of the IT company till March-end. The details of the arrangements will be disclosed before January 28, informed the board.

 

While talking about the appointment of the CEO, the directors said that the candidate for the post will have unique qualification so as to lead the company during this period of transition. The newly appointed CEO of Satyam will be a leader of global standing and recognition. The board said that it will select right person with right experience who will take forward the company through these turbulent times. The Satyam board will have another two-day meeting on January 26.
