Versatile singer Elton John is reportedly set to record an album with singer Leon Russell and producer T Bone Burnett.
According to the insiders, both the singers have written the songs for the yet to be titled album. The relaese date is still unknown.
Neil Young, Booker T. Jones, Marc Ribot and Jim Keltner are also reported to be guests on the unnamed album.
In a blog post, Bernie Taupin has written, "It's varied in scope and drenched in a rich tapestry of atmospherics. Don't expect to hear the old EJ/BT sound; this is organic recording unlike anything you've heard from our duo before."
Elton John’s last studio album ‘The Captain and the Kid’ was released in 2006 and for Leon Russell it will be the first project after he underwent brain surgery this year.
