Elizabeth Taylor who was famous for her striking beauty passed away on March 23 in Los Angeles. She was 79 years old. She suffered a congestive heart failure.
She was once a heart-throb of all for her marvellous looks and beauty. Born in 1932 to American parents, Liz started acting from 1942 with There's One Born Every Minute which was a famous comedy film. This was followed by Lassie Come Home in 1943 and National Velvet in 1944.
Another of her famous work was A Place in the Sun in 1951 in which she was portrayed as a rich and spoilt girl. She gained popularity with her astonishing looks. She worked with Montgomery Clift, James Dean and Paul Newman. One of her most significant role was that in Butterfield 8 as an escort girl. She played the role of Cleopatra in 1964.
