Two-time Oscar winning actress Elizabeth Taylor, who was named by the American Film Institute as the seventh ‘Greatest Female Stars Of All Time’, has been put on life support machine after suffering congestive heart failure. It was reported on Thursday, July 31 that the condition of the 76 year old actress dipped after she was diagnosed with pneumonia.   

The media in the United States report that the children of the Hollywood actress were summoned and told that she may not survive long. However a source in the newspaper reports underscored that Elizabeth Taylor’s condition seems to have improved a bit at the moment after she was put on life support.

The National Enquirer quoted an unnamed source stating the following - ‘The doctors thought they were going to lose her. She's still very sick, but she's past the crisis.’ It was on July 15 that Taylor was admitted into the hospital. The English-American actress has three children of her own, whereas she adopted the fourth one with former hubby Richard Burton. Elizabeth Taylor is known to have ailed from a number of health problems.
