Sweden-based home appliances manufacturer Electrolux has registered a pre-tax profit of 2.2 billion kronor for the third quarter of this fiscal which ended on Sep 30, which is almost double the 1.2 billion kronor pre-tax profit reported during the corresponding period last fiscal.
The home appliances manufacturer has registered a YOY net profit of 1.6 billion kronor when compared to the 847 million kronor registered during last fiscal for the similar period.
Net sales were up 4.8 percent to 27.7 billion kronor in the quarter.
Chief Executive Hans Straberg said in a statement that markets remained "weak" and although the North American was stabilising, "the European market has not yet hit bottom".
