American actor-announcer Edwin.W.Reimers, commonly known as the Allstate Corp’s T.V. spokesman passed away on August 16th Sunday in New York at his daughter’s home. He had been the Allstate spokesman for the past 22 years.
He is very well known for his famous slogan: “You’re in good hands with Allstate.” In 1950’s and 1960’s he was the announcer of several T.V. shows. The reason for death is not clear.
Born on October 26 1912 in Moline, he started his career with radio stations in cities like Iowa, Den Moines living in L.A. mostly. After the demise of his wife in the year 2007 he moved to Sarato Springs.
He is survived by his daughter Kathryn, one niece and 2 grandsons.
