A mild earthquake struck near the coastal town of Eureka in Northern California on Wednesday. According to sources, there were no immediate reports of damage.
The magnitude of the quake was 5.2 and it occurred at 8:03 PM (0303 GMT, Wednesday) 35 miles east of Eureka and the tremors were felt across the region from the Pacific Ocean to around the Oregon border, according to the U.S. Geological Survey official website.
An hour after the earthquake, the dispatch officer for the Eureka Police Department said that they have not received any reports of damage.
