On world’s observance of ‘Earth Hour’ today to highlight upon drastic climatic changes, India’s Bollywood guys have come forward to campaign on it nationwide.

‘Earth Hour’ Given A Tremendous Uplift By Bollywood

To mark this ‘Earth Hour’ in observance to the drastic climatic changes, India’s Bollywood personalities have come forward to give a broader highlight on this world motive and observing shut down of power for few minutes to make a mark on it today.
 

A global initiative by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), the Earth Hour aims to bring awareness to people about the dramatic change of climate.

In this environmental march, Bollywood cine star Abhishek Bachchan who is heading as  its brand ambassador joining hands with Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to make an appeal to the Indian citizens to support  this initiative by putting off light at 8.30 p.m to 9.30 p.m.

The actor appealed to the public to act responsibly and added, "As responsible citizens of this planet, it is extremely crucial for us to address the colossal problem of climate change through ensuring responsible action and adopting a sustainable way of life... It is time we take a collective pledge to 'switch on' our minds and take one simple step to switch off the lights from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m.”
 
In support to this world motive even noted actor of Bollywood like John Abraham mentioned, “If we turn off electricity and show solidarity towards the environment, then nothing like it. We all have to contribute to save the planet, and in turn save ourselves from destruction.”
 
According to the actor Hiten Tejwani everybody should contribute and added, “Everybody should make an effort to do their bit for this cause. It should be on a massive scale and we all should get together to fight the threat of global warming.”
