Dune Kossatz Named Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa
The 35-year-old model and actress of East London, Dune Kossatz was named Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa. Dune Kossatz has received maximum number of Internet votes among the 48 finalists selected from each of the IPL games held at various South African venues. Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa, Kossatz will now get an opportunity to do screen tests for a movie with Shah Rukh Khan.
The 24-year-old Business Marketing graduate from Johannesburg, Genna Cloud was declared the first runner up while Dunay Nortje became the second runner up.
All the three winners and other participants walked the ramp during the extravagant closing ceremony of the 2009 Indian Premiere League. The grand ceremony that took place right after the final saw on-stage performances by American R&B singer Akon and Caribbean music legend Eddy Grant. Akon electrified the whole stadium by singing his 'Smack That' number. Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif also performed at the closing ceremony. The audience at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg witnessed magnificent fire works and Afro-Indo music performances on Sunday (May 24) night .
Earlier, South African President Jacob Zuma thanked the organisers for choosing the country as venue of the Twenty20 league. The president also conveyed his gratitude to Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty for making a trip to South Africa. IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi thanked the government and the people of South Africa for making the tournament a successful one. After the ceremony, Deccan Chargers were handed the 2009 IPL Trophy that marked the end of month-long extravagant cricketing action.
