With the objective to bring together the global pearl sectors and for discussing out methods to develop the global pearl jewellery market, the Dubai Pearl Exchange has announced to host the first ever World Pearl Forum in Dubai. This event is scheduled to be held at the Atlantis hotel, Palm Jumeirah on 17-18 February, 2009. The event is sponsored by Dubai World in association with Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
More than 200 leading pearl specialists from across the world will be attending the event. As a result of this Dubai will be thronged by jewellery experts and consumers during the world pearl forum event. According to HE Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai World, Dubai bears a tremendous potential to become world leader in global pearl market. Hosting of such events like World Pearl Forum will definitely help Dubai's cause.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the executive chairman of DMCC said that the main objective of organizing such event is to create a platform for the development and expansion of global pearl market. The Dubai Pearl Exchange will try to unite the jewellery industries through the World Pearl Forum by highlighting the opportunities and business prospects in global pearl market.
