Dubai got one more entertainment resort with the recent opening up of 'Atlantis, The Palm'. It is being hailed as the flagship resort of Palm Jumeirah, which is one of the three palm-shaped artificial islands made on reclaimed land by top Dubai-based real estate developer Nakheel. Alan Leibman, the president and MD of Kerzner International, which will run the resort, declared, 'Following an intense development period by a team of approximately 3,000, we are proud to introduce Atlantis, The Palm to our first guests and the public.'

The very new Atlantis, The Palm comprises 1,539 guest rooms and suites, each having its own private balcony with a great view of Arabian Gulf. It also provides numerous facilities for sports like water sports, an open-air marine habitat and salt and fresh water attractions. There are also a number of underground tunnels that bring the myth of the lost city of Atlantis to life by providing underwater views into the boulevards of the ruins of Atlantis. This entertainment resort also has restaurants, bars, lounges, fitness centre and spas.
