"Smart classrooms”, which has been set up by Delhi Technological University, has given the first year students an opportunity to replace the traditional notebooks with laptops.
These so called smart class rooms of the DTU come fully equipped with facilities which are meant for computer-aided teaching as well as multimedia presentations. This information was published in a DTU release.
"The members of the faculty engaging the class of the first semester have been advised to prepare their learning resources on laptops already provided to them," the Delhi Technological Universe release said.
The academic session 2009-10 for the new courses that have been initiated by the Delhi Technological University started on Tuesday.
The new programmes have been added at the Undergraduate level. The new courses which have been added include B.Tech in Software Engineering, Automobile engineering, electrical and electronics engineering as well as engineering physics.
