Drona stars Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Jaya Bachchan and Kay Kay Menon. The movie is directed by Goldie Behl. One will also get to see in it a variety of Indian martial arts like Kalaripayat, Chhau, Gatka and sword fighting.
The central character of the film is Aditya, an orphan brought up by a foster family. He has never known what is love or felt it even. A magical blue rose petal is the only thing that provides Aditya comfort and it comes wafting in his room to make him smile when sad.
This petal leads him to a kara (iron bangle) one day, which Aditya dons on his wrist. He does not realize that this act will unleash forces he never imagined. Riz Raizada played by Kay Kay Menon is a wicked sorcerer and is desperately in search of a precious secret that will help him dominate the world. To acquire this secret, he first has to defeat Drona, who eventually realizes his potential and mission in life. Priyanka Chopra plays the role of Sonia, the protector of Drona. Drona is in fact the real the son of Queen Jayati Devi played by Jaya Bachchan.
