In order to commemorate its golden jubilee celebrations, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) R&D activities has decided to organize a three-day conference scheduled to be held on November 24. The historic conference is likely to be attended by scientists, technocrats, industrial partners involved in development, production and service personnel of the country. The conference will offer an ideal platform to know and discuss the activities carried out by life science laboratories working in various disciplines.

 

Life sciences laboratories of Indian armed forces have contributed immensely to the nation. The conference will try to asses the importance of the life sciences laboratories working in the fields of life saving and strategic support systems, protective equipments and clothing, physiological-psychological aspects, health and protection against biological and chemical warfare, instant food requirements for high attitude battle field operations etc. Besides generating human capital, theses life sciences laboratories also cater to the requirements of forces operating in various environments.

 

The three-day long confereence which will kick start on November 24 will showcase the array of items developed for the Services. The mega function will be presided over by the Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General M.L. Naidu. The high level conference will also introduce the technologies developed by Services to common people so that can they reap the benefits.
