Pharmaceutical major Dr. Reddy's Laboratories has registered a net profit of Rs.197 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal year which ended on Sep 30. This net profit is 116.52% up from the Rs.91 crore net profit which had been registered during corresponding period last fiscal.
Total income has surged by 19.24% to be registered at Rs.1,139 crore for the Q2 of 2009-10 fiscal when compared to the Rs.955.18 crore in reported during last fiscal.
Dr. Reddy's logged a forex gain of Rs.32.9 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, compared to a forex loss of Rs.47.2 crore in the like quarter a year ago.
The consolidated net profit is Rs.239.85 crore in quarter under review, while during the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal, it had been Rs.86.64 crore.
Total consolidated income grew 15.81 percent to Rs.1,887.25 crore from Rs.1,629.57 crore.
