The 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards were held on April 23, 2008, at the Grand Ole Opry House - Nashville, Tennessee. The Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove awards were created in 1969 by Gospel Music Association to honor the achievements of Christian music. The awards are presented annually in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The awards are presented in a variety of musical style such as pop, rock, hip-hop, country, gospel etc.
