Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham starrer "Dostana", directed by Tarun Mansukhani, which is a light-hearted take on homosexuality, will kick off the iView Film Festival starting from Aug 28 in New York.
The director, who has brought homosexuality and gay into mainstream cinema with this film, will attend the festival along with John Abraham, Kirron Kher and Boman Irani.
Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra would not be joining them due to their shooting commitments.
The three-day festival is scheduled to be held at the world famous Lincoln Center. The other Indian films that will be showcased in iView include Shyam Benegal's critically acclaimed 1983 film "Mandi", Rituparno Ghosh's "Bariwali" starring Kirron Kher and Mira Nair's "My Own Country". Zoya Akhtar's directorial debut "Luck By Chance" will be the closing film of the festival.
