Nadeem-Shravan, who have given super good music with movies ‘Aashiqui’, ‘Saajan’, ‘Deewana’, ‘Raja Hindustani’, ‘Pardes’ and ‘Dhadkan’, have composed music for this movie after a gap of 4 years.
Even though they have tried to give a trendy appeal to their music, they fail in rekindling the magic they had delivered during the 1990s.
The film, which stars Govinda, Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh and Sushmita Sen, is scheduled to hit the theatres on Oct 2. The album has 6 original tracks.
The first is a track which is crooned by Sonu Nigam and Anuradha Sharma, ‘Zulfaen khol khal ke’, which is indeed a disappointing one. The song without the beats gives the feel of an old song.
The next one is a Shaan – Shreya Ghoshal fast number, ‘Don't ever leave me’. Even though it is considered to be a touching song, it looks as if the English lyrics have been deliberately added for the modern appeal. Even though Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal have done a decent job, the music fails to impress the music lovers.
The first break comes with the next song, ‘Mere naal’, for which KK, Jigar Saraiya, Shreya Ghoshal and Nitika Kanwar have rendered their voices. This energizing song has a very strong musical arrangement and will leave the music listeners immersed in a Punjabi feeling.
The next song, ‘Bebo’ sung by Neeraj Sridhar and Anushka Manchanda, will be a sure hit at the DJ consoles. Free flowing and full of attitude, ‘Bebo’ is worth a listen and a dance.
Next is the ‘Beautiful woman’ by Sridhar again, along with Sowmya Rao. The song is quite boring and slow-paced.
The last is the title track of the movie which has been crooned by T.K. Karthik and Anushka, which is full of beats and that is it.
In short, Nadeem-Shravan duo fails to rekindle their magic with the music of ‘Do Knot Disturb’.
