Zee Group-owned direct-to-home service, Dish TV has entered into an advertising deal with Microsoft. Under the agreement, Dish TV will allow Microsoft to advertise its gaming device Xbox 360 Arcade on its DTH platform. According to a statement from Dish TV, with the help of the new platform, Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade will reach to an audience of over 25 million viewers in 6600 towns across India. The advertising campaign of Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade includes branding of Microsoft’s new offering - Xbox Arcade’s theme and logo on Dish TV's gaming service.
The ad campaign will run on Dish TV's default landing interactive channel, 999. The gaming services are offered free of charge by Dish TV to all its subscribers. While commenting on promoting Xbox 360 Arcade through Dish TV, Microsoft India Regional Director (Entertainment and Devices Division) Jaspreet Bindra said that the partnership with Dish TV will help Microsoft to enhance its position as the best gaming console. According to Bindra, the increasing number of active gamers in India is a good prospect for Microsoft to popularize its gaming device.
Informing about the gaming device, Jaspreet Bindra said that Xbox 360 Arcade is a complete entertainment device that caters to the entertainment needs of each and every member of a family. In addition to this, the gamers can enjoy an exhilarating online gaming experience with Xbox LIVE. Microsoft's alliance with Dish TV will help the software major to gain an upper hand in terms of reach and penetration.
