The top seed and favourite Dipika Pallikal of India and 16th seeded Anwesha Reddy, entered the pre-quarterfinals of the girls singles of the junior World squash championship on Thursday.
 
Dipika was in a domineering form, who took just 19 minutes to knock out New Zealand’s Lana Harrison.
 
In her next match slated for this evening, Dipika will challenge Yathreb Adel of Egypt who packed off 18th seeded Milou van der Heijden of the Netherlands.
 
Answeha on the other hand, took 42 minutes and four games to quell Carrie Ramsey of England. She will next meet second seed Heba El Torky. The Egyptian who is in a very good form attained a commanding win against Catalina Pelaez of Colombia in mere 13 minutes.
 
The Indian challenge in the boys’ singles ended last night with the exit of Ramit Tandon, Ravi Dixit and Karan Malik.
