BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited), an Indian Public Sector Undertaking has appointed Dilip Biswas as part-time director. Company informing Bombay Stock Exchange said that Mr Biswas will take the place of Mohd. Haleem Khan, (Addi. FA & JS), who ceased to be a Director.

 

This Public Sector company headquartered in Bangalore manufactures a variety of heavy equipment, such as that used for earth moving, transportation and mining. Interestingly, the company is operated by India’s Ministry of Defence which has majority share in it.

 

The firm established in the year 1965, now has sold its 25% shares as private equity. Also, BEML is Asia's second-largest manufacturer of earth moving equipment, and it controls 70% of India's market in the segment. The company being listed in BSE has to inform it about changes in board members.
