Providing answers to your queries will be people who have been trained by well-known Delhi hospitals such as All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Maulana Azad Medical College.

 

Do take note that this is not a toll free number and local or STD rates will apply for each of the call made to the helpline. Speaking about this new project, Shailaja Chandra, executive director, Jansankhya Sthirata Kosh said, ‘Calls pertaining menopause, infertility, sexually transmitted disease, reproductive tract infection and sex are common. You can't ask the teachers nor the parents and you cannot speak to your peer group beyond a point.’

 

Chandra emphasized the fact that people simply want to be sure that that they are normal before they approach a doctor for their sex-related problems. Chandra informed that this call centre is the brainchild of the doctors and gynecologists and went on to highlight that even in Delhi the youngsters are naïve are sex-related issues. All executives working in this call centre have some or other kind of medical background. While nurses take calls from all over the country on sexual health while a doctor supervises the floor.
