Dhruv Sitwala has moved on to the second spot in the national billiards ranking, replacing eight-time world champion Geet Sethi. He achieved this feat after winning a selection tournament at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Miramar.

In the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias tournament Dhruv defeated many reputed players including the five-time world champion Pankaj Advani, former world champion Rupesh Shah and Devendra Joshi. Dhruv also defeated Geet Sethi, who failed to find form in the tournament and subsequently slipped down to the third spot in the ranking.

Pankaj Advani and Dhruv Sitwala had identical wins of five matches each from six games played yet. But due to a better game average Sitwala went above Advani by the lowest margin of one game. For the forthcoming Asian Billiards Championship to be held in Pune from April 11-19, the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India is expected to nominate the top five Indian cueists.

The final Billiards rankings are as follows:
1. Pankaj Advani
2. Dhruv Sitwala
3. Geet Sethi
4. Devendra Joshi
5. Rupesh Shah
6. Sourav Kothari
7. B Bhaskar
8. Ashok Shandilya
