Bollywood has its first release based on the concept of double-cross and deceit, in 2009, in the form of 'Dhoondhte Reh Jaoge'. Directed by Omesh Shukla, the movie has Kunal Khemu, Sonu Sood, Soha Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever, Deepal Shaw, Asrani, Razzak Khan and Avtar Gill in the star cast. The film, basically, is about a trick that Anand Pawar (Kunal Kemmu) and Raj Chopra (Paresh Rawal) are playing up on. While the former is an honest Chartered Accountant, tired of the 'loser' tag attached to his being, the latter, is a reputed film producer, left with no money to make films.
Anand and Raj have only one aim in life - of making quick money. They think of a plan that would help them become fastest millionaires. The swindle is to make a flop film. Both of them would raise a sum of Rs 100 crores, from the financers, but use only 5 crores, out of the raised money, to make a film. They would purposefully make the film in such a way that it becomes one of the biggest flops of the year and then run away with the rest 95 crores. In the process, they appoint Aryan Kapoor (Sonu Sood) as the lead actor. Parvez Asharraf (Johny Lever), a Pro-Pakistan person, is hired as the writer, apart from other strange actors, director and music directors.
Anand ropes in his girlfriend Neha Chattopadhayay (Soha Ali Khan) as well, to play the role of the lead actress. A small time theatre actress, with dreams to make it to the big screen, Neha readily agrees. On the other hand, Anand is happy, as this would mean the end of her craze for acting. With actors like Paresh Rawal, the movie boasts of some hilarious scenes that are sure to leave the audience in splits of laughter. However, the main question is - will the two be able to pull off the con? Will Neha's dream of acting be shattered? The answers to these questions will be revealed on 6th March, 2009.
