Scotland may become the first European destination, where Bollywood will have its first studio. Legendary Bollywood actor, Dev Anand is planning to build a studio in the picturesque locales of Scotland. Dev Anand is planning to shoot for his next film in Scotland and revealed to reporters that he is looking for an office and studio on the outskirts of Inverness, the main town on the northern reaches of Scotland that is known as the Highlands.
The veteran actor remarked that he discovered Scotland for Bollywood when he went there ten years ago. The actor asserted that the European country looks beautiful even when it rains. Dev considers Edinburgh, Scotland to be the prettiest country in the world and hence intends to shoot a romantic film in the Highlands.
Eight Bollywood films have been shot in Scotland from 2000 to 2003. Dev Anand stated that in the film which he will shoot in Scotland, the main characters will be a father and his son along with a young innocent looking 18-19 year old English girl, for whom the search is still on.
