Dell has introduced its new biz desktops and workstation lines for both SMBs and enterprise customers. The OptiPlex 780 series of desktops PCs are meant to provide stable and managed desktops for its mainstream business customers and Precision T1500 workstation is for the SMBs.
The two products will be with Intel Q45 Express chipset, Intel GMA 4500 integrated graphics and Intel processors having a Core 2 Quad.
The workstation can be customized with graphics like ATI and Nvidia and will come up with a 64-Gbyte drive. It can also support all of the operating systems including windows, Linux and DOS.
The Optiplex 780 will be available in three forms, each with efficient power supply units and configurations. All three form factors including minitower, desktop, and small are highly energy efficient and can be managed with the Intel vPro compatible tool.
T1500 workstation is designed to work AutoCAD, a prominent 2D/3D architecture engineering and construction design software. It uses Intel Core i7 and i5 processors and uses the same graphics cards as that of the OptiPlex 780 series of desktops. The workstation also supports Windows XP and Vista in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavours including Linux and DOS.
The Optiplex 780 prices start at $544 whereas a T1500 workstation starts at $949.
Both the products from Dell are now available in the prominent stores.
