US-based Dell Inc has launched its new laptop Dell Inspiron Mini 12 in Japanese market on October 26, 2008. After the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 and the MSI Wind, the new Dell Inspiron Mini 12 is officially the first laptop to house a 12-inch widescreen. The other two laptops belong to 10-inch category. Compared to typical laptops, the screen of Mini 12 offers higher resolution of 1,280-by-800. The new notebook from Dell incorporates 3-cell battery. Besides these, the netbook offers three USB ports, a multicard reader, Ethernet, VGA-Out, and a 1.3-megapixel camera.
The new Dell Inspiron Mini 12 has both the facilities of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth embedded in it. Like the Mini 9 which was launched earlier this month by Dell, the new Mini 12 is also loaded with a Intel Atom Z520 1.33-GHz processor. The new Dell laptop will be marketed by Bic Camera, Kujima and Sofmap retail chains. There is also an Intel’s GMA 500 integrated graphics chip inside the laptop. Regarding the hard disk of the Dell laptops, the company has given the customer to choose from a range of 40, 60 and 80 GB.
