In a surprise move, Dell has put an innovation into its products. Now, it has developed the wireless recharging technology by which the laptops can be charged easily by keeping a pad side to it.

This has been a notable development as it is not seen in any other laptops.

The 16 inch thin notebook called Latitude Z comes with a black cherry and with a decent look.

As per Dell sources, for the recharging, an inductive pad built into the laptop can perform the task easily as that of the standard cable chargers. Though some of the companies like smartphone, Wild Charge and Visteon have developed wireless charging accessories for phones, yet Dell is the first PC maker to incorporate this idea in laptops.

According to Dell, it is a part of its ‘wireless eco-system’ and Latitude Z will be able to connect any monitor, whether it is on the cubicle or in the conference hall.

Dell is also introducing some other products like touch-sensitive controls on the screen's bezel, and its first take on "instant on."

The sliding touch controls is there to customize the monitor properties like screen brightness, volume, or easy access to specific applications. The user can also control applications like the Excel or a Web browser by using the touchpad for scrolling through a spreadsheet or Web page as needed.

For the instant-on technology, the windows use a second smaller motherboard and a separate ARM processor to boot up. E-mail, contacts, calendars can be accessed through a separate non-Windows interface, where those applications run in the background and are constantly being synced.

Todd Forsythe, vice president of Dell's commercial client product group, said the ARM processor won’t be a problem for the product as it is completely separated from the other ports. Using the instant mode option in the current product will enable the battery life, so that the product can work for longer hours.

Latitude Z is available now at a cost of $1,999.

It’s an advanced step for Dell in trying out smaller, more innovative, and more practical ideas like wireless charging, docking, instant on, and touch interfaces which could find a wide acceptance from the public.
