Dell Aero, a new smartphone from the IT major Dell, landed in the US market. Dell launched its new smartphone that runs on Android operating system on Tuesday.

Dell Aero comes with 3.5-inches wide screen, a five mega pixels camera and the phone comes priced at $100 on the AT&T mobile network.

Similar to other smartphones in market, Dell Aero comes equipped with Twitter, Facebook and YouTube applications and the company’s executive Ron Garriques was quoted as saying the phone has been designed to help people find new ways to connect with friends and express themselves socially.

With researches showing that Android-based phones would beat iPhones’ share in next two years, Dell’s introduction of Android-based smartphones is well-timed.

Earlier in 2009, the company had introduced Mini 3 in China. This was the first time Dell forayed in smartphone market. Dell expects a booming market for Android phones with about 75 million Android-based smartphones in next two years.
