Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir put on a superb century partnership for the first wicket to help Delhi Daredevils to a convinving eight-wicket win against the strong Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament on Friday at Chennai.

Delhi Daredevils restricted the Chennai side to a modest 169 for six in 20 overs and then gathered the required runs in 19 overs. Virender Sehwag (71) and Gautam Gambhir (50) provided the Daredevils a solid start with a 115-run partnership off just 68 balls.

Chennai Super Kings lost their first match of the tournament whereas Delhi Daredevils won the fourth match of Indian Premier League. For Chennai Super KIngs S Vidyut batted amagnificently to score 54 runs and saved Chennai from embarrassment.
