Deccan Chargers will take on Trinidad & Tobago in their last Group A match of the Champions League Twenty20 today.The Chargers can make it into the super eight if they win with a healthy margin.
Somerset is the only team in this group to have completed their league campaign. They won their opening match against Chargers but suffered a 44-run defeat in the hands of Trinidad & Tobago.
Adam Gilchrist and his Deccan team-mates will have to go for an absolute win and hope for a good net run rate to see them through to second stage.
Deccan will rely on Andrew Symonds to fire and Rohit Sharma to replicate the same form he had displayed in the IPL.While the Chargers would put up their best camp, Trinidad & Tobago would be high on confidence following their 44- run win against Somerset.
The Daren Ganga led team looks like a close-knit unit and has openers Lendl Simmons and William Perkins who proved themselves in their opening match.
The presence of Dwayne Bravo and spin twins Dave Mohammad and Sherwin Ganga can also prove quite a handful for the Chargers.
