Adam Gilchrist (109*) blasted the fastest century (42 balls) of the tournament as Deccan Chargers defeated the hapless Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets during the 14th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The blistering innings by Gilchrist included 10 sixes and 9 fours of just 48 balls and helped his Hyderabad side to finish the match in just 12.4 overs. It was the first win for Deccan Chargers in their fourth outing.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians continued their poor show and managed to put a modest total of 154 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Abhishek Nayar and Dwayne Bravo chipped in with some useful runs but it was too late as Mumbai did not have enough overs to accelerate at the end.
