Kamal Haasan’s mega budget film Dasavatharam’s music finally released on Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Jawaharlal Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The film has music composer Himesh Reshamiya’s thunderous music, which will be released in Hindi and Telugu, apart from Tamil by Sony BMG. Present at the star studded evening were international actor Jackie Chan, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi, actresses Hema Malini, Jaya Prada, Asin, Mallika Sherawat among others.
The film directed by KS Ravikumar is rooted as the biggest and most awaited film of the year. The film will witness Kamal Haasan giving an ace performance in ten avatars or incarnations. The film has mainly been produced by Oscar Ravichandran and is believed to have a whopping budget of Rs 120 crore. Dasavatharam has been shot extensively not just in India but overseas as well including America, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia.
Musical scores in the film are both soft numbers as well as some feet tapping songs. The songs have been mainly sung by Hariharan, Sadhna Sargam, Mahalakshmi Iyer and the composer Himesh Reshamiya himself. Kamal Haasan in the film is paired opposite south Indian gorgeous looking actress Asin and Bollywood sultry siren Mallika Sherawat. The film is due to release in summers this year and is expected to do great business throughout India and overseas .
