Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to become the costliest player in the history of the game as his club Manchester United have agreed to sell him to Real Madrid for a world record 80 million pounds. According to reports, English football club has received an unconditional offer of 80 million pounds for Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
 
Manchester United has also allowed the ace footballer to join the Spanish soccer club. For the last couple seasons, Real Madrid has been trying to rope in Ronaldo and ultimately succeeded in doing so. The agreement is expected to be completed by June 30. Meanwhile, Manchester United is expected to sign in Antonio Valencia in place of Cristiano Ronaldo. The 23-year-old Valencia has already proved himself by producing a man-of-the-match performance at Old Trafford in January. 

Recently, Real Madrid has bought Brazilian playmaker Kaka for 56 million pounds from Italian side AC Milan. With two star soccer players, Real Madrid will definitely look to compete with Manchester United and Chelsea in the Champions League. FIFA's world player of the year, Ronaldo was very keen on joining the Spanish club and had reportedly agreed a pre-contract with Real Madrid worth 8.3 million pounds a year over the next five years.
