The Corporation Bank of Mangalore, in collaboration with JP Morgan and Visa, has recently introduced its prepaid travel card. The CorpBank prepaid travel card can be availed in three foreign currencies - US dollar, British pound and Euro. The tie-up with JP Morgan will prove handy to the bank as it will employ the latter's expertise in prepaid card solutions and its proprietary technology platform.

After the State Bank of India, the Corporation Bank is now the second bank in the country to have launched its prepaid travel card. The holder of the CorpBank prepaid travel card can use it to make purchases and even withdraw money (local currencies) from the ATMs when abroad traveling. BR Bhat, general manager, Corporation Bank, said, 'It will help the customer to avoid the risks of carrying foreign currency and travellers’ cheques.'

There are also other interesting uses of this newly launched CorpBank prepaid travel card. The user can get the balance on this card refunded at any of the designated branches of the bank. Furthermore it is not connected to any bank account. Also there is 24x7 call centre backup for any query that the holder of the card wants answered.
