"Funny People", the comedy, has occupied the first place in the North American box offices over the weekend with a three-day ticket sales of $23.4 million. This information was given by the preliminary studio estimates issued on Sunday.
The film has Adam Sandler who has done the role of a successful comedian diagnosed with a lethal disease. Directed by Judd Apatow, currently Hollywood's most favourite comedic filmmaker, the movie follows Sandler and his comedian friends.
It opened on Friday.
