According to a press release on pib.nic.in, the results of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2008 held by the UPSC in May, 2008 has been declared by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The result includes the roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified for the Civil Services (Main)

Examination, 2008. As per the release, the candidates can log on to UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in or PIB website www.pib.nic.in to check the results.

The result of Roll No.s 011661, 256994 and 291011 has been withheld. All the successful candidates have to apply again in the detailed application form, which will be sent to them by the Commission, for admission to the Main Examination. The Main Examination is scheduled to be held from 17/10/2008.
