Pop star Christina Aguilera may play her first full-fledged role in the movie "Burlesque". Media reports said that, the singer is said to be in negotiations to star as a burlesque dancer in it. However, a representative for the studio told clarified to the media that, it is too preliminary to comment on casting.

 

Burlesque is due to begin filming in January 2010. Dancing With the Stars professional Julianne Hough has also been linked to the film. She might star alongside Aguilera as a pregnant showgirl. Born in 1980 Aguilera is an American Pop singer and songwriter. Aguilera first appeared on national television in 1990 as a contestant on the Star Search program, and went on to star in Disney Channel's television series The New Mickey Mouse Club.

 

She came to prominence following her debut album Christina Aguilera in 1999 which was a commercial. A Latin pop album, Mi Reflejo, and several collaborations followed which garnered Aguilera worldwide success but she was displeased with her lack of input in her music and image.
