American actor Taylor Lautner was the star of the 23rd annual ‘Kids Choice Awards’. The star who portrayed the role of ‘Jacob Black’ in the Twilight film series captured the award for favourite actor for his role in ‘New Moon’. The star was also awarded for the cutest couple with his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristin Stewart.
Taylor Lautner said after accepting the awards, “I have to admit I have always dreamt of winning one of these orange blimps.”
Katy Perry who wore a bright blue wig and skin-tight flowery dress presented the favourite movie actress trophy to Miley Cyrus.
Meanwhile, ‘Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel’ received the award for the favourite movie whereas, ‘Up’ was awarded as the favourite animation flick. Actor Jim Carrey was honoured for the favourite voice-over artist for the animated movie, ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘American Idol’ was voted as the favourite reality show.
Talking about the music category, Black Eyed Peas won the orange blimp-shaped trophy for the best music group whereas Jay-Z was named as the favourite male singer and Taylor Swift won the title of favourite female singer for the song, ‘You Belong With Me’.
