Foreign Minister of China Yang Jiechi will be visiting India next week for holding trilateral talks with his Indian and Russian partners on Oct 29.
The minister will arrive on Oct 28.
The trilateral meeting is to discuss issues of regional importance and "touch upon various issues of mutual concern and mutual interest in the bilateral relationship", Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said.
She said there would be bilateral meetings too and "all issues including issues of concern" would be raised "because it is through discussion, through frank and open discussion and at that level, can we remove misunderstandings".
“Energy security would also be discussed, as well as looking at better connectivity, dialogue between the academic institutions and business and industry relations”, she said.
