China is upset over the US- Tibet resolution, saying that the resolution has hurt the feelings of the Chinese. Jiang Yu, the foreign ministry spokeswoman said that the resolution is anti Chinese whereas the state media said that the group linked with Dalai Lama's India Based government in exile, is a terrorist organization.

 

It is to be noted that the US Congress has asked China to settle the Tibet crisis by opening dialogues with the Dalai Lama. It also condemned the Chinese policy on Tibet. Meanwhile China said that the anti Chinese protests were aimed to disrupt the Olympic Games and end the Chinese rule in Tibet. Already China has held six rounds of talks with the representatives of Dalai Lama, but to no avail. Jiang said that the resolution is an interference in the internal matter of China.

 

China has also condemned the Tibetan protestors for interrupting the Olympic Torch Relay in San Francisco, London and Paris. It should be noted that some of the protestors tried to extinguish the Olympic flame by throwing water and it is expected that the torch relay will face protests in the other parts of the world.

 

China also accused the Tibetan Youth Congress for the riots in Lhasa. However many believe that China has made some accusations to justify its policies on Tibet. Though there are severe protests by the Tibetans against the Beijing Olympics, Dalai Lama said on Thursday that the Olympics should be held in Beijing.
